Last Friday, the 4th of March, Sagam Community Hospital proudly presented ESM-Ketamine students with certificates of graduation! The students- 4 from Garissa, and 2 from Maseno- spent the week in didactic and practical training environments learning how to properly administer the ESM-Ketamine package safely and appropriately. The providers successfully utilized ESM-KetamineĀ in 19 surgical cases throughout the week. The types of cases included: LEEP (loop electrosurgical excision procedure), myomectomy, keloidectomy, debridement, and polypectomy. Providers now have the skills to use ESM-Ketamine on patients that require anesthesia services and emergency surgery when an anesthetist is unavailable. We are proud of you, students! Congratulations on your graduation!
