Sara Zelman and Courtney Meyer (both pictured), second year medical students at Albany Medical College (AMC), recently presented their work on the ESM-STK intervention at a poster session held at AMC’s annual Medical Student Investigation Day. Ms. Zelman and Ms. Meyer were integral to the development and implementation of the ESM-STK intervention; they worked hand in hand with AIHT and SCH this past summer to create a training package for distribution to hospital and providers across the region.

ESM-STK, launched on July 13, 2016, is an innovation that utilizes Streptokinase to treat ST Elevation Myocardial Infarctions (STEMIs). Please see our Facebook page for details on SCH’s recent Continuous Medical Education presentations at various hospitals throughout the county. We look forward to continuing to work with Ms. Zelman and Ms. Meyer, and neighboring hospitals, to increase access to this life-saving drug.
