Sagam Community Hospital is excited to announce that the OCT research project is officially underway! On Monday, Megan Diamond and Stanley Wanjala began enrolling children for a study looking at the relationship between properties of the eye and cognitive development. With the help and cooperation of local primary schools, over 20 participants have completed the assessment. The researchers plan to continue the study through April. The study aims to expand knowledge on how simple technologies can be used to learn about the brain in resource-limited environments.
