Between May 2 – 4, 2017, SCH attended the Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK)’s Annual Health Conference (AHC) and Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The theme of the 2017 AHC was “Re-Engineering the Faith Based Health Services Business Model Towards Sustainable Quality Healthcare”. As part of the AHC, CHAK members explored best practices in regard to financial sustainability, quality management and marketing practices within the Kenyan healthcare market.
On the last day, CHAK held its annual AGM where members voted for incoming officers at both the CHAK Secretariat and Regional bases and also received the latest strategic plan and audit for the last year.
As a faith based facility, SCH is proud to be a member of CHAK in ensuring access to healthcare for the most vulnerable in our communities. As part of its work with SCH, CHAK has supported various efforts including treatment of chronic diseases, family planning services and our weekly outreaches. In addition, CHAK has provided administrative support with training of staff, provision and maintenance of IT, radiology and lab equipment provided under their various projects.
We look forward to another year under the CHAK umbrella
