Here at Sagam Community Hospital we are working to paint a new wall for the Pediatric ward! The Division of Global Health and Human Rights from Massachusetts General Hospital is leading this project with the artistic skill of Shikha Kapil, an Emergency Medicine Consultant from Emory University.

The new wall will be a landscape of the Dr. Seuss book, The Lorax, a favorite children’s story of the fellows and coordinators.
If you are unfamiliar with the story or the author, please click on the link below to learn of the creative, quirky, and funny writing style of Dr. Seuss. In particular, this story teaches us of the delicate balance between nature and human consumption.

I hope you enjoy this story as much as we do! To accompany the wall, this book will be provided as a donation for the children in the ward to read along with the painted photo on the wall.

We will post the finished product soon!
